CF Christmas 2009

To all Christians Students, we managed to get:

1. Permission for class leaves on 24th and 28th December 2009 for Christmas. Those who want to go back to their hometown are allowed to do so from 24-28 December 2009. But, for those who do not going back, you have a choice either to attend class or not. However, for those who miss the class, it’s your own risk to catch up the syllabus.

I have to make this clear; this is not a holiday! But a holy-day and a class leave for us to go to church and celebrate Christmas. And, the permission is restricted only for CHRISTIANS students (45 of us all together; I have the list by the way).

2. Datin also allowed us to do Caroling house-by-house, but only for those who sign up for the caroling.

3. Christmas Party will be held at Dewan Utama (NOT LH6) on 30th December 2009. So, we have larger space, more comfortable and can do a lot of activities there!!!

4. I will announce other further information during our Christian Fellowship (CF) week by week. So, come to CF and be updated.

Thanks God for giving us this great opportunity to experience a blessed Christmas in this college. God Bless.

Kenangan Terindah

"Bila yang tertulis untukku, adalah yang terbaik untukmu, kan kujadikan kau kenangan, yang terindah dalam hidupku, namun takkan mudah bagiku, meninggalkan jejak hidupku, yang t'lah terukir abadi, sebagai kenangan yang terindah"

Aku yang lemah tanpamu
Aku yang rentan karena
Cinta yang t'lah hilang
Darimu yang mampu menyanjungku

Selama mata terbuka
Sampai jantung tak berdetak
Selama itu pun aku mampu
Untuk mengenangmu

Darimu kutemukan hidupku
Bagiku kaulah cinta sejati

Chorus :
Bila yang tertulis untukku
Adalah yang terbaik untukmu
Kan kujadikan kau kenangan
Yang terindah dalam hidupku
Namun takkan mudah bagiku
Meninggalkan jejak hidupku
Yang t'lah terukir abadi
Sebagai kenangan yang terindah

KBP: The climb, reached!

Today is the closing ceremony for our KBP Youth's Programme at Sabah. It was started on 18th July 2009 (5 months ago), after I was forcefully registered myself at KTT. Well, I’m proud with the KBP. They managed to take the risks and take my challenges to ‘not giving up before we try'.

Actually, before we start this programme, a lot of them were worried about the risks. Can we do it? What will happen next? If we fail? A lot of questions come up in their mind. But see, now they are at the climax of the climb, the end of the programme. Congratulation to all that involved in handling with the programme, especially to the committee: Kilur, Sonny, Gumie, Baxter, Roynston, Gillie, Gundul, Melly, Rofino, Welmeh, Louis etc etc. Not forgotten, the most important supporter and advicer: Christina and Flevia!!! I miss all of you, the best team indeed.

We have gone through with this programme for almost 5 months. And see, the youths are now growing. Then, what will be the next? As a team, pray and discuss for it. No matter what happen, ask God for the guidance. He will show you His plan. But remember, you gonna face a lot of troublesome, temptations, problems and obstacles after this, in reaching our mission and vision doing all this things.

“Let us have joy in our troubles: in the knowledge that trouble gives us the power of waiting; and waiting gives experience; and experience gives hope. And hope does not put to shame; because our hearts are full of the love of God through the Holy Spirit which is given to us”.

My New Lecturers

When I reached KTT on 29 of November, the first thing I did was checking on the new information regarding our new time table and lecturers. Previously, this is my lecturers:

Physics (as well as class lecturer):

Miss Syikin

Chemistry:

Madam Faezah binti Othman

Biology:

Mr. Addie Faris Anua

Mathematics:

Madam Aliza

But then, two of them were changed! My physics and biology lecturers are still the same (thanks God). However, my Chemistry and Maths lecturers were changed!!! Firstly, I’m so sad. This is because, a couple weeks before my final semester 1 examination, the way my chemistry lecturer taught us was totally improved!!! And honestly, I like the way and the attention she gave us before.

Meanwhile, about my maths lecturer, she inspired me a lot to improve my maths. Proudly to say, one of the reasons why I didn’t drop maths is because of her. She is understanding, caring and always laughs in our class. She is also ‘melatah’. The words that she always melatah is “Eh, mama terbalik”. I remember last time, I ask permission from her not to attend maths class on Thursday evening because I need to do my MPP speech/manifesto. Surprisingly, she cancelled the class and came during the manifesto day to support me myself. She asked Sue Ting, when is my turn? Although I’m almost the last person that day, but she waited.

My new lecturers are: Mr. Sivabalan (Chemistry) and Mdm Ozie (Maths). Both of them are good. I’ve heard that, last time, KTT have 15 outstanding students who got the best achievement awards (Mathematics) in the World. And, most of the students were from Mdm Ozie’s class. Then, imagine, how good, knowledgeable and powerful she is. But, she is too strict and give us a lot of works..huhu!!!

Although I have new lecturers, I will never forget my x-lecturers indeed; even my primary and secondary teachers. I appreciate everyone who did amazing things in my life. "Thank you and may God’s Blessings will be always with you". AMEN

The Holidays!!!

21st November 2009

AK 5110 is my flight to Sabah. The flight is suppose to be at 5.10pm. But, it was delayed because of some problems. Huh..but thanks God, I’ve reached my hometown safely. The first thing I did, eating!!! I love my hometown foods.

22nd November 2009

Sunday! 7.30am, my church started. The sharing from Fr. Jalius Sading was extremely awesome!!! After church, I was told that I am the MC for the Program Kesedaran & Penjagaan Alam Sekitar at Babagon! That programme was planned by us (KBP) for the youths in our area. 11 villages involve. The programme started at 11.00am.

We finished that programme around 4.00pm. We have sharing, gotong-royong, praise and worship, prayer, presentation and foods!!! After that, directly, I followed Flevia dan Christina to Kota Kinabalu for some talks, meetings and enjoying ourselves..hehe. Errmm..we stayed for a while at Christina’s house, I went to Pondok Tagal to meet with my friends, and came back home around 9.30pm. Huh..I haven’t unpacked my things yet.

23rd November 2009

Monday! I stayed at home that day because we have to prepare for my father’s Birthday Party!!! How was the party??? Ermm...simple party. First, I led the rosary prayer. After that, eating!!! We ate a special homemade chocolate cake, made by my eldest brother (He is a chef/pastry).

24th November 2009

Tuesday! I’ve planned to stay at home and spend my time with my siblings. We watched movies, laughing, cooking, cleaning house, and fighting. Hehe..that were the most amazing things you can do with a big family.

25th November 2009

Wednesday! What I did that day? Erm..mostly I spend with my friends. Cycling, exercising, playing volleyball with the youths...etc etc! Huh..I miss my childhood’s activities.

Actually that night, Christina asked me to lead a rosary prayer with my youths and give them some advices, talks and sharing. But, it was cancelled due to some reasons.

26th November 2009

Thursday! Dennie and Ricky smsed me to go out to 1Borneo. But sorry guys, because that day I have something to do.

I received message from Christina. She told me that we have urgent meeting. But I replied her, telling her that I cannot come because I have a choir practise. But, she said, I can also come after the practise. So, I came around 9.45pm. I felt weird because the first thing that I saw when we almost reached that ‘meetings’ venue was the lights (like pub/disco lights). What is this??? Huh..they cheated me! They have planned a surprise farewell party for me. Argghhh, I don’t know what to say..huhu..we have foods and open karaoke! We sangs until 3.30am!!!!!! Before we went back, Christina and the KBP team dedicated me a special song that make me cry (Kenangan Terindah)!!! Huhu..tersentuh!

I was thinking, what they did to me is more than enough. I think that I’m not deserve to all those things because I contribute nothing to them..huhu..but thanks guys!! May God bless you all..and continue to serve ya...

27th November 2009

Friday! I woke up late, 10.45am. Fortunately my sister woke me up. Today, we went out and watched movie: Me, Christina, Flevia, Rofino, Melly, Wilber and Clariece. We watched A Christmas Carol. Haha..that movie is a good movie for those who is greedy, do not understand why we celebrate Christmas and the egoist person! We went to Restaurant Juara and ate nasi ayam! After that, we went shopping at Servay Putatan. We spent our time happily that day! Thanks to Christina because she spent all of us during that day.

I came home around 7.00pm. I washed my face, change clothes and rushing to Church. We have prayer meeting that night (every Friday, in my church, we have prayer meeting). I help them in praise and worship. I’ve played keyboard for certain songs, and sang! I gave sharing also. We finished the Prayer Meeting around 9.30pm.

Sorry to Leslie and Baxter as I’m too tired to meet them to transfer pictures and movies. I don’t have enough sleep, and too tired for the whole day’s activities. Sorry ya..

28th November 2009

Saturday! Uncle Marcus invited me to go for wedding’s party at...I forgot already where is that place (tamparuli i think). Flevia also invited me to Annabell’s wedding at Pusat Kebudayaan Penampang. But, I simply say no to that. I cannot go (although I want too) because I prefer to spent my precious and limited time with my family. That day, we went out and have dinner together. Awesome time!!!

That night, I went to church for choir practise.

29th November 2009

Sunday! Happy Birthday to Asyraf @ Decha and Amy Lyneatte.

I went to church, spend time by eating mee sup with Gumie, Nestor and Mel. All of them are among my special friends, who have special talents!!! The most wonderful thing being with them are, you will be happy all the times!!! Because they are happy-go-lucky friends that I have. Melatah is for sure..haha...

Huhh..this day is my last day for holiday. AK 5123 is my flight (was delayed again). Thank you to the youths, KBP and also my family for spending your precious time with me during my holiday. I’m so sorry if I cannot spend most of my time with all of you. I wish I could, but the holiday is too short. As it is not enough for me being with them.

I’m emotionally not stable that day, as I am too sad to leave them once again. Life is like that! But, whatever happens, there is a reason for that. By the way, I can conclude that I have such an awesome holiday this time. See you guys again next year (February, 2010).

My seniors

The seniors are leaving. Today is my last with them. Huh...the college might be boring without them.

My seniors are awesome and very nice!!!!
- Daniel gave me his 3in1 drinks, books, file and a lot of his stuffs.
- Keshan gave me his broken table!!! But still can be use and the broken part is actually very small one...haha
- Cheng gave me his book shelf.
- His housemate gave me a "cupboard" (how to say arr?? because it is not really a book shelf and not really a cupboard. But a bit likes cupboard la). I have a lot of bookshelf already..so I borrow it to John and Xiang/Ali; my housemate.
- Zeff gave me his AS books and A2 books!!! Although he used it for a year, but it still ok and look like freshly bought from Uncle Beh!!!
- Wan gave me his maths book (then, I must take maths!!!)
- Christine gave me a few books.
- Aileen gave me her books (a few also).
- Evanca gave me her books (actually as my rewards because she asked me to bring her stuff back to Sabah!!!).
- Susu taught me a lot how to become a leader!!!!

The best thing is: all of those things I got it for FREE!!!!

Accident!

Last Tuesday (3rd November 2009), I have sprained my ankle!!! I tell you, it was extremely painful. And, that was not easy. That night, I can't even walk/step or use my left leg to walk!!! Imagine, how suffered I am when I go to the toilet, taking bath, or even just to move from my study table to my bedroom. I better jump like a Pocong rather than walking. But thanks God, everything last in only a day!!

Thank you to Jin Xiang for supporting and helping me to go to any classes. My classmates, my friends, CF committee, and the Lecturers!!! Thank you also to Eshabell and Claressa for suggesting (actually forcing) me to use their traditional liquid to reduce swelling and relieve sprains. Thank you for those who sms me, supporting and giving advices!!! I received many sms during that night. Some of them, I can't even reply (no credit anymore)!!!

Sorry for those who advised/forced/suggested me to go to hospital/clinic because I didn't go. Although I am going to become a doctor in the future, but I am a type of "keras kepala" person if you ask me to go to hospital/clinic. Haha..not because I hate hospital, but I don’t like being treated/injected/'molest'ed by the doctor. Especially on my legs!!! Haha...ok, God bless you all!

Youth.God Server.Futur Doctor

I believe that everything in life happened for reasons. He has his own plans towards our journey of life. Success, failure, happiness, sadness and etc. Most of us do not understand about the plan. And most of us do not believe that He had planned the wonderful things in our life. We keep on blaming, giving up and saying that we have a bad luck! But, it is us to decide, how we are going to handle it. If we handle it properly, at the end of our life, we will realise that how wonderful and beautiful it is.

I like blogging because that is one of the way how I can share His plan in my life to those who do not realise how beautiful the life is. So, I have changed my purpose of blogging from writing non-sense to sharing the greatest sense of life. This is the journey of life as a youth, a God Server and a future doctor.

I still remember during my exposure programme under JPA Scholarship in medical course at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in the end of March, 2009. Most of the doctors discourage us to become a doctor.

“If you want to become a doctor just because of the title, money, glamorous
and being respect by others, forget it!”

“You will lose your life when you become a doctor!”

“Your life is in the hospital!”

Those are are their words to us. Discouraging right? Among 30 of the candidates for JPA Scholars during the exposure programme, I heard a lot of them depressed by the reality of becoming a doctor. For me, huh..do you want to lose your life? Of course not! I want to enjoy and enjoy and enjoy!!! But, then I realised something that inspiring me. What is the purpose for you to live? And what is my purpose in life??? I realised that happiness, glamorous and all that people compete to grab are nothing as compared to serving people, helping them, sharing the words of God and the joy of His love. Those are my purpose of life as youth, God Server and a doctor.

But, I tell you, it is not easy if you do not understand His plan in your life. You will give up, fed up and just become crazy!!! That was me before. But I try to figure out, solve His puzzle and investigate His plan. Wow..then, I believe that everything happen for reasons.

I am a youth. I am a God Server. And, I am a future doctor. I am the Christian Fellowship (CF) President and I am the Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) Vice President. Why??? Honestly, I try to run away from all those things. But, it was just happened. And the same question came; why, why and why??? And, the answer is just the same; everything happened for reasons. That is a part of His plan in our journey of life.

I ask you, can you live for 2 weeks with lack of sleep, lack of eats, tiredness, no time for fun, no time for relaxing, no time for everything? As a student, are you happy to live without focus in class, feel sleepy and tired when you lecturer is teaching, cannot understand everything? You come to the class with zero in your mind, and finish it with nothing improved? That was just happened to me within the two weeks. I wake up every day around 7.00am, went for morning prayer until 8.00am, work hard to finish my assignments (extremely hard to finished it especially when I don’t know everything), went to class until evening, and rushing for dance practise. Sometimes I don’t take my dinner or bath just because of no time for that (really timeless). Lunch? Usually, no lunch, just digesting food to gain energy from my breakfast. At night, I have to handle CF practise or CF night, assignments, dance practise, MPP events etc etc! After that, at 11.00pm, I have to come and lead the Rosary Prayer with my catholic friends. And usually sleep around 1.00-2.00am. Then, continue my daily routine as usual. I’m tired!!!

Why all of these things happened to me??? Well youth, I got my strength by prayer (being with God). With God, I understand that this is his perfect plan to me. I thankful to Him of experiencing these things within 2 weeks in my life. I realised that life as a doctor is just like this. No time for everything, except for your responsibilities. It was such a tough weeks for me. Really, I meant it! But, I don’t want to give up! Because what I suffered now is nothing as compared to the glory that He will reveal to me later (Rom 8:18). I have my responsibilities as a medical student. I have my responsibilities as a MPP vice president (at the same time, learning how people lead others). I have my responsibilities as a CF President (bringing my friends to be closer to God, share the love and the words of Him).

“Thanks God for all those things (experiences). Because, I believe that those things will strengthen me. And, build up my maturity towards reflecting my journey of life as a youth, God Server and a future doctor. Amen!”

St. Theresa Feast Day

On 2nd and 4th of October were the celebration days of St. Theresa. There were a lot of events planned by the organizer of St. Theresa Chapel, Nilai Church such as Rosary, Lavena and also Mass. On the 3rd of October, we were having a gathering after mass. There were a lot of performances by the College Students from Nilai University College, INTI College and also my college, KTT.

Talking about the performance, we (KTT) performed a dance that I named it Cultural Contemporary Ethnic Creative Dance from Borneo Students. It consists of Sumazau, Bidayuh, Murut, Iban, what else arr..huh..forgot already. A lot of ethnic creative movement. But, it was unique and awesome! The dancers are: Maegyvear, Ricky, Eric, Via, Michelle and also Karen. We used the Kadazan traditional customs that we managed to brought from Sabah during Hari Raya Aidilfitri Holiday. The main choreography is Willy (thanks yaa), helped by Michelle and me myself. How was it??? Haha..firstly, I’m not satisfied 100% with the performance because of the PA System problems. But, after I heard the comments and audiences’ opinion about it, especially from international students and outsider, I am proud to be the dancers! Haha..well, some of them said that, “I want more!!!!”. Next time la ya...Here I uploaded a few pictures during the dance. Enjoy it!

Month Of Rosary

“Among the devotion approved by the Church, none have been so favoured by so many miracles as the Holy Rosary”
Pope Pius IX 1849

October is a month of Rosary. Pope Pius IX 1849 said that "Among the devotion approved by the Church none have been so favoured by so many miracles as the Holy Rosary". I have been here in KTT for around 3 months already. What have I done with my Rosary??? Yes, I brought my Rosary to the KTT. And sometimes, I recite the prayer alone in my room. But, I never do the prayer in a group or together with other Catholic friends.

However, tonight I managed to bring my friends to do Rosary together. For the first time, I’ve planned to have it separately with the girls because I can’t find the suitable place and time for us to gather and do the prayer. But, I’ve told them to do as what we have planned to do. Hopefully, they manage to do it. Erm..we were having the Rosary for the first time at Eric’s apartment: 9-3-A2 and there were nine of us who came and joined the prayer (Maegyvear, Mark, Bosco, Ricky, Eric, Joeffrey, Gavin Yap, Gavin Man and also, surprisingly: Dennie. Dennie is not catholic. But, he came and joined us. Thanks Pukberess’s President (Dennie).

I leaded the Rosary prayer and after reciting the prayer, wow..I can feel the peace and the love that we shared by the words in the prayer! Especially when it comes to Gavin Man's turn to recite the Fifth Mystery: The Coronation of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven and Earth. Thanks Gavin! Here are some pictures that I managed to take just before and after the prayer.

After the Rosary, we have planned to have it again for every Thursday (Luminous Mysteries), Friday (Sorrowful Mysteries), Saturday (Joyful Mysteries) and Sunday (Glorious Mysteries). And, I will discuss with the girls later when we are going to have the combine Rosary Prayer ya. Ok, God Bless you all!!!
